The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan celebrated its National Day on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the Republic Day & the 25th anniversary of Azerbaijan-Turkey diplomatic relations on May 24, 2017 at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ankara hosted by Ambassador H.E. Mr. Faig Baghirov and his spouse Mrs. Lala Baghirova. The Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mr. Ahmet Arslan, was the Chief Guest on behalf of the Turkish Government on the occasion. Other high-level guests included Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Ahmet Yıldız, General Commander of the Gendarmerie of Turkey General Yaşar Guler, Head of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Mr. Necdet Unuvar, Senior Advisor of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Yalchin Topchu, representatives of the Diplomatic Corps and ministries, military and social elite of the Republic of Turkey, as well as a large number of members of the Azerbaijani community - deputies of Azerbaijan Parliament, intellectuals, students, musicians, singers and others were attended at the Reception.
