On 16 June, the British Embassy held a Garden Party at the Embassy Residence to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday.<br><br>The event was hosted by the Ambassador Richard Moore and Mrs. Maggie Moore. HE Volkan Bozkir , the Minister for EU Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, was the guest of honour representing the Turkish government.<br><br>The 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta and the 150th anniversary of the novel “Alice in Wonderland” were among the themes celebrated at the party, along with many other things (food) and values of “Grown in Britain”. <br><br>Around 800 guests, including members of the diplomatic community, Turkish institutions and members of the British community in Turkey, attended the event.
