Embassy of the Republic of Korea celebrated the National Day with a concert and reception
On the occasion of National Day of the Republic of Korea, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkey, hosted a concert followed by a reception on Monday, 3 October 2016, in cooperation with the Directorate General of State Opera and Ballet of the Republic of Turkey at Ankara Opera House. In this concert and reception, Turkey was represented by the Deputy Speaker H.E. Mr. Ahmet Aydın on behalf of the Speaker and the Minister of Economy, H.E. Mr. Nihat Zeybekçi. Among the guests were officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic corps accredited in Ankara, Korean War Veterans, representatives of business associations and the Korean Community.<br>At the concert conducted by Mr. Naci Özgüç, famous Korean and Turkish opera singers performed worldwide librettos which received great appreciation from the guests.<br> Further to the concert, H.E. Mr.Yunsoo CHO, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, in his speech, emphasized his trust that Korea and Turkey would overcome hard times this year and stride forward. His Excellency also expressed his appreciation on behalf of himself and the Korean people towards the Korean War Veterans. He also mentioned that Korean Cultural events did and will take place not only in Ankara, İstanbul but also in some other cities like Sivas, Erzincan, Antalya, Muğla and Burdur aiming to get access to more people around Turkey. The Ambassador also mentioned that more Korean companies are involved in doing business in Turkey with new technologies even though in hard times. In addition, he mentioned about the Korean Government’s support to cooperate with Turkish institutions like AFAD to build schools and health centers for Syrian refugees. As next year will be the 60th year of opening Korea-Turkey relationships, similar activities will be organized actively.<br>
